How we ranked these agencies.

Everything starts from public, verifiable data. Strengths are written from each agency’s website; no rating or figure is made up.

Entry criteria

  1. Active, open Google listing with at least 10 reviews. Uclic, the publisher listed first outside the formula, is not subject to this threshold.
  2. Website online, and a Google listing that matches that website.
  3. One entry per agency: listings present in several cities are merged.
  4. The agency sells process automation (n8n, Make, Zapier, no-code, AI workflows) as its main service and states it in its website’s title, H1 or description. A training provider, a software vendor, a web agency for which automation is just one catalogue line, or a freelancer does not qualify.

Score formula

Score = (reviews ÷ (reviews + 20)) × rating + (20 ÷ (reviews + 20)) × 4.91. 4.91 is the average rating of the verified pool. An agency rated 5.0 on 12 reviews therefore does not automatically beat one rated 4.9 on 90 reviews.

Limits

  • A Google rating measures client satisfaction, not technical quality or price.
  • Our database comes from a Google Maps collection across 27 large French cities: a very good agency without a Google listing or outside those cities may be missing.
  • Ratings change: the list is re-read at every update and an agency that closes or drops below the threshold leaves the ranking automatically.

From the database to the ranking

  1. 4,648agency listings in our database (Google Maps and Google, 16 services, 27 cities)
  2. 758unique agencies reviewed: website online, consistent Google listing, at least 8 reviews (including 216 our automatic filter had discarded)
  3. 40websites that genuinely talk about automation (headings + repeated mentions)
  4. 26automation stated at the top of the site (title, H1 or description)
  5. 7automation sold as the main service (manual review)
  6. 6at least 10 Google reviews on 29/10/2026
  7. 6agencies ranked above

Main exclusions

  • 3 training-first providers (AI, no-code, Make and n8n)
  • 4 software vendors (prospecting, CRM, recruitment)
  • 5 web or marketing agencies for which automation is one offer among many (including a web agency showing “AI, automation agency” under a website-design title)
  • 2 freelancers and 1 freelance network
  • 1 automated B2B acquisition agency (lead generation rather than process automation)
  • 3 agencies listed in our AI agents and CRM comparisons, closer to what they do
  • 1 agency below 10 Google reviews (5 reviews on 29/10/2026)
Checklist

Five questions to ask a automation agency before signing.

  1. Which tool, and why

Zapier, Make, self-hosted n8n or custom code cost very different amounts depending on volume. Ask for a costed recommendation based on your real volumes, not the agency’s favourite tool.

  2. Workflows running for real clients

Ask to see two or three automations that have been in production for more than six months, and what they process each week.

  3. Error monitoring

A scenario that fails silently is worse than a manual process. Who gets the alert, how fast, and who fixes it?

  4. Ownership of accounts and scenarios

n8n, Make or Zapier accounts and API keys should be in your name, with documentation someone other than the agency can read.

  5. The cost at month 6

Tool subscriptions, operations consumed, AI model calls and maintenance: get the steady state priced, not just the setup.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does an automation agency do?

It identifies a company’s repetitive tasks (data entry, follow-ups, quotes, invoicing, CRM updates), then builds workflows that run them on their own by connecting existing tools with n8n, Make, Zapier or code. The best ones then monitor these workflows and keep them up to date.

n8n, Make or Zapier: which one should you choose?

Zapier is the easiest to pick up but gets expensive as volumes grow. Make offers more logic at a lower cost per operation. n8n can be self-hosted, which suits high volumes and sensitive data, but requires more skills. A good agency chooses based on your volumes and constraints, not its habits.

How is this ranking of automation agencies built?

We start from our database of 4,648 agency listings taken from Google Maps. We remove closed, rejected listings and those with no website, no Google listing or fewer than 10 reviews, we merge duplicates (an agency present in several cities counts once), then we check on each agency’s website that automation is the service it actually leads with. The remaining agencies are ranked by their Google rating weighted by review count (Bayesian rating). Ratings and reviews were checked on 29 October 2026.

Did agencies pay to appear in this ranking?

No. No agency was contacted or paid, and none can buy its place. An agency that closes its Google listing or drops below the review threshold leaves the list automatically.

Why is Uclic at the top of the list?

Uclic publishes this comparison and lists itself first, and says so clearly. Its position is not computed with the formula: the agencies that follow are ranked solely by their Google rating weighted by review count.
