What exactly is a growth marketing agency?
A growth marketing agency owns your whole commercial growth, not a single channel: pulling in prospects (SEO, paid media), going out to get them (cold email, LinkedIn, phone) and automating everything that can be automated (AI assistants, CRM, reporting). The difference with a classic communications agency: everything is measured in meetings booked and revenue generated, not in likes or sessions. At Uclic, those three levers (Inbound, Outbound, AI & Dev) are run by one senior team, with a written update every week.
Do you work with SMBs, or only with scale-ups?
Both. SMBs (10–50 employees), Series A/B scale-ups, post-raise mid-market companies, and enterprise accounts on a well-defined scope. What matters is not headcount but: (1) a clear B2B target, (2) customers worth at least €3,000 a year each (or an e-commerce basket that can absorb paid acquisition), (3) a team able to make decisions within 30 days. Tick those three boxes and we can start. If not, we say no — and point you to a better fit (a solo freelancer, a single-channel specialist, and so on).
How do I know this is the right moment?
A few reliable signals: (1) acquisition has plateaued despite growing effort, (2) single-channel vendors keep piling up with no one holding the whole picture, (3) your CFO is asking what a new customer really costs (CAC) and where revenue comes from, (4) competitors are industrialising AI and pulling ahead, (5) you depend on one channel for 80 %+ of your pipeline (Google Ads or SEO, typically). If two or three of those ring true, the free 48-hour audit is built for you — and we will tell you honestly whether we think we can help.
Can you replace an in-house Head of Growth?
Yes, in two modes: (a) full replacement — we take the fractional Head of Growth seat, with a senior Growth Strategist owning the strategy and reporting to your exec team; (b) reinforcement — you keep your internal lead, and we bring the channel depth (SEO, ads, outbound, AI) and execution capacity they are missing. Either way, we plug into your existing OKRs and rituals rather than imposing new ones.
Do you work with companies outside France?
Yes. We are a French agency and fully bilingual FR/EN: meetings, minutes, deliverables, dashboards, cold outbound and AI agent prompts can all be run in English. We regularly work with US (Delaware) and UK scale-ups whose boards operate in English. If your end customers are French-speaking and your board is English-speaking, we do both — board reporting in EN, customer-facing assets in FR.
How big is the team?
A senior Uclic core (Growth Leads with 10+ years of experience, ops, AI and Next.js engineers) plus a collective of specialist freelancers activated on demand (SEO, ads, SDR, motion, UX, data). Every account is staffed against its ambition: at minimum one Growth Strategist plus one channel specialist. On Duo or Growth Machine engagements we scale to 3–5 people, all visible in your shared Slack.
Which industries do you work in?
B2B SaaS (horizontal and vertical), fintech and insurtech, edtech, retail/DTC, luxury and home, B2B marketplaces, professional services (consulting, legal), data and API businesses. We stay away from: pure-play crypto, unlicensed para-pharma, and low-ticket e-commerce (under a €40 basket) where the unit economics cannot carry senior acquisition work. When in doubt, tell us your sector — if we are not the right fit, we will recommend someone who is.
What happens if we do not get the results we expected?
We do not promise specific numbers up front — too many variables sit outside our control (seasonality, competition, product, quality of outbound leads). What we do promise: (1) a clear method with written hypotheses, (2) a review at 30, 60 and 90 days where we kill anything that is not working, (3) full transparency on CAC and ROI calculated per channel. If nothing takes off after 90 days, we part ways — no penalty, no surprise invoice, full handover included.
When do the first results show up?
By channel: (a) multichannel outbound — first qualified meetings in 3–6 weeks once sequences are live, 2–3× ramp by day 90; (b) Google / Meta / LinkedIn Ads — CPC and CTR signals from day 7, real CAC learnings by day 30; (c) SEO — measurable traffic at 2–3 months, business peak at 4–6 months; (d) automations and AI agents — productivity gains from week 2 (−70 % manual time observed across our clients). We deliberately spread the effort so there are quick wins inside the first month.
What is a Growth Strategist?
Your single point of contact at Uclic — a senior profile (10+ years), former Head of Growth at a well-known scale-up, who designs the strategy, coordinates the channel specialists, arbitrates priorities, challenges you and reports back. You only ever talk to that one person in the weekly review; they translate it into briefs for the specialists. That is exactly why our clients report a sharp drop in coordination cost compared to running four freelancers in parallel.
What does reporting look like?
Three levels: (1) a real-time dashboard — Looker Studio (or Metabase/Amplitude depending on your stack) with pipeline KPIs, CAC per channel, LTV and cohorts; (2) a 45-minute weekly review over video — structured agenda (north-star review, decisions, next sprint) with written minutes sent within the hour; (3) a monthly 3–5 page summary — decisions taken, learnings, roadmap adjustments. Every data source (GA4, HubSpot, Stripe, Segment) stays readable by you.
Do you use a prioritisation score?
Yes — an adapted ICE score (Impact 1-10, Confidence 1-10, Ease 1-10) plus estimated budget and required resource. The roadmap runs in two-week sprints, not a frozen quarterly plan. Each sprint we take the 3–5 items with the best score-to-budget ratio, execute, measure, then move on. Anything highly uncertain goes through a fast test (€500 budget cap) before it gets promoted.
Who produces the deliverables: Uclic or the freelancer?
Both, under the Growth Strategist's mandate. You always know who does what — name, role and availability in a shared Slack. No opaque cascading subcontracting. Every deliverable (ads, copy, workflows, pages, scripts) goes through internal Uclic QA before it reaches you: four eyes minimum, documented method, written acceptance criteria. If a deliverable fails QA, it gets redone — on us.
How much does it cost?
Four transparent tiers: (1) free audit — €0, no strings attached; (2) 1 Pillar — €1,490/month excl. VAT, one channel run end to end (SEO, paid media, outbound, AI or dev); (3) Duo — €2,680/month excl. VAT (−10 % vs 2 × 1 pillar), two channels with a dedicated Growth Strategist; (4) Growth Machine — €3,570/month excl. VAT (−20 %), all three pillars live, a full marketing team operated by Uclic. Three months of initial commitment, then month to month with 30 days' notice.
Is there a lock-in period?
Yes — three months of initial commitment. The reason: under 90 days you cannot honestly conclude anything about a channel (conversion cycles, seasonality, ad platform learning periods). After those three months you move to a standard monthly contract, cancellable with 30 days' written notice. No silent auto-renewal, no exit penalty — we hand over the docs, accesses and workflows before we leave.
What exactly is the free audit?
€0, no commitment, nothing expected in return. Thirty minutes over video (Google Meet or Zoom) with a senior Growth Lead who asks the right questions about your target, product, channels and stack. Within 48 hours you receive: (a) a scored summary of the three pillars (Inbound, Outbound, AI & Dev), (b) 3–5 quick wins you can act on immediately, (c) a costed 90-day plan based on our packages. Do whatever you want with it — including running it in-house. Eight audits out of ten never turn into a contract, and we are fine with that.
Is ad spend included?
No — media budget (Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn) is always paid by you directly to the platforms, never by Uclic. Our packages cover campaign management only: strategy, audiences, creative, copy, A/B tests, ongoing optimisation and weekly reporting. No hidden markup or commission on media: what the platforms charge, you pay in full, with their invoices as proof. We are paid the package fee — never a percentage of spend.
How does invoicing work?
Monthly invoicing at the start of the month for the package. Payment within 15 days by SEPA transfer or card (Stripe). Media budget (Google, Meta and so on) is paid directly by you to the platforms — it never runs through our invoicing. A firm signed quote comes before anything goes into production: no surprise overruns. If we see an envelope at risk of being exceeded, we tell you first, document why, and you approve it (or you do not). Every invoice details hours, channels and deliverables produced.
Can you plug into the tools we already use?
Yes — we work in "your tools" mode by default, not "our tools". CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio), prospecting (Lemlist, La Growth Machine, Instantly), analytics (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment), orchestration (n8n, Make, Zapier, Temporal), enrichment (Clay, Apollo, Cognism), dashboards (Looker Studio, Metabase): we connect without forcing a migration. If there is a real gap in your stack, we propose an alternative — you make the call.
What is your reference AI stack?
LLMs: OpenAI (GPT-4.1 / GPT-5 depending on cost and quality), Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.6 for production, Opus for reasoning), open-weight models (Llama, Mistral, Qwen) when data has to stay on-premise. Agent orchestration: n8n (low-code) or custom TypeScript/Python. RAG and vectorisation: pgvector on Supabase, Qdrant or Pinecone depending on volume. AI observability: Helicone, LangSmith or Langfuse. You own the prompts, workflows and indexes — everything ships documented.
Do you build custom apps?
Yes — that is the AI & Development pillar. High-conversion landing pages, SaaS micro-apps, custom scrapers, lead scoring tools, internal dashboards, custom API integrations, client portals, vertical chatbots. Reference stack: Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind 4, Supabase (Postgres + Auth + Storage), deployed on Vercel or Dokploy (self-hosted). Every app ships with a README, environment variables, a deployment guide and E2E tests.
Do we keep ownership of the content and workflows?
Entirely — it is written into the master agreement. Everything we produce (pages, ad creative, copy, n8n workflows, agent prompts, scripts, apps, AI images) belongs to you from delivery. We keep no exclusive exploitation rights on your assets. On exit (your call or ours), we leave the documentation, accesses and credentials, plus two hours of live handover for your next vendor or your internal team.
