Method

How we ranked these agencies.

Everything starts from public, verifiable data. Strengths are written from each agency’s website; no rating or figure is made up.

Entry criteria

  1. Active, open Google listing with at least 10 reviews. Uclic, the publisher listed first outside the formula, is not subject to this threshold.
  2. Website online, and a Google listing that matches that website.
  3. One entry per agency: listings present in several cities are merged.
  4. The agency sells AI as a service (automation, agents, chatbots, integration, consulting) and states it in its website’s title, H1 or description. An agency that only uses AI for its own deliverables, a training provider or an SEO/GEO agency does not qualify.

Score formula

Score = (reviews ÷ (reviews + 20)) × rating + (20 ÷ (reviews + 20)) × 4.87. 4.87 is the average rating of the verified pool. An agency rated 5.0 on 12 reviews therefore does not automatically beat one rated 4.9 on 90 reviews.

Limits

  • A Google rating measures client satisfaction, not technical quality or price.
  • Our database comes from a Google Maps collection across 27 large French cities: a very good agency without a Google listing or outside those cities may be missing.
  • Ratings change: the list is re-read at every update and an agency that closes or drops below the threshold leaves the ranking automatically.

From the database to the ranking

  1. 4,648agency listings in our database (Google Maps and Google, 16 services, 27 cities)
  2. 610unique agencies after quality filters (open, validated, website, Google listing, at least 10 reviews) and national deduplication
  3. 542website online and Google listing consistent with it
  4. 78websites that genuinely talk about AI (repeated mentions + headings)
  5. 22AI stated at the top of the site (title, H1 or description)
  6. 13AI sold as a client service (manual review)
  7. 12at least 10 Google reviews on 28/10/2026
  8. 10agencies ranked above

Main exclusions

  • 3 training-first providers
  • 1 freelance network
  • 3 SEO/GEO profiles for which AI is a search topic
  • 1 agency that uses AI without selling it
  • 1 Google listing located outside France
  • 1 agency that went from 14 to 5 Google reviews between our collection and verification
Checklist

Five questions to ask a AI agency before signing.

  1. Use cases in production, not demos

Ask how many agents or automations are running for clients today, since when, and what they do every week.

  2. The recurring cost, not just the setup

Tool subscriptions (n8n, Make, Zapier), model API usage, hosting and maintenance: get month 6 priced, not just month 1.

  3. Your data: where it goes, who can access it

Which models are used, where data is hosted, what happens to documents sent to APIs, how GDPR is handled.

  4. Ownership of what is built

Workflows, prompts and tool accounts should be in your name, so you can switch provider without rebuilding everything.

  5. Who maintains it when it breaks

An automation breaks as soon as a tool changes its API. Ask about response times and who monitors errors.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI agency?

An AI agency designs and deploys artificial intelligence solutions for its clients: process automation (n8n, Make), AI agents, chatbots connected to company documents, AI integrated into the CRM, team training. It differs from a web or marketing agency that uses AI to produce its own deliverables.

What is the difference between an AI agency and an automation agency?

Automation chains tasks according to fixed rules (a form creates a CRM record, then an email goes out). AI adds what rules cannot do: read a document, classify a request, draft a reply, decide on a step. Most agencies in this ranking do both.

How is this ranking of AI agencies built?

We start from our database of 4,648 agency listings taken from Google Maps. We remove closed, rejected listings and those with no website, no Google listing or fewer than 10 reviews, we merge duplicates (an agency present in several cities counts once), then we check on each agency’s website that AI is the service it actually leads with. The remaining agencies are ranked by their Google rating weighted by review count (Bayesian rating). Ratings and reviews were checked on 28 October 2026.

Did agencies pay to appear in this ranking?

No. No agency was contacted or paid, and none can buy its place. An agency that closes its Google listing or drops below the review threshold leaves the list automatically.

Why is Uclic at the top of the list?

Uclic publishes this comparison and lists itself first, and says so clearly. Its position is not computed with the formula: the agencies that follow are ranked solely by their Google rating weighted by review count.
