Custom Web & App Agency

Choose the stack for your team, not for fashion.

Uclic is a B2B web agency: custom websites and applications, with a stack chosen for your team and your volumes, never for fashion. A site that converts, an app that holds the load, code your developers can pick up. For SMBs, mid-market companies and scale-ups.

12 Website & Web App sub-services

12 sub-services to go from framing to a delivered site (or app), with nothing blindly outsourced.

From stack choice to maintenance, each sub-service works standalone or packaged in a tier. Tools named explicitly: WordPress, Next.js 15, Astro, Supabase, Vercel, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Playwright.

What we do differently

Why a Uclic site over anyone else?

Choosing a stack in 2026 isn't a matter of trends. Strict Core Web Vitals, INP penalizing slow sites, rising maintenance costs for bloated WordPress themes, and the emergence of Supabase as a viable full-stack alternative have changed the trade-offs. Stack chosen based on your team, code delivered, full ownership.

Interesting. Personally, I did the opposite in a way. That said, I always keep the code to create APIs that will be used by n8n. So in the end it's a mix of both. I also think it depends on what you want to do in the long term. On the other hand, one thing is certain: if you want total flexibility, knowing how to code is important. (I include vibe coding)

Completely agree ! The era of "just good enough" is over. In a saturated market, it's essential to stand out from day one. An MVP certainly needs to be viable and minimal, but that doesn't mean it has to be a stripped-down version of the final vision. Investing in a quality user experience from the start can significantly accelerate acquisition

incredible, I just gave it a directory with hundreds of software I want to scrape (across about ten pages in total). Fully autonomously, it retrieved everything and ran a google search for each software to find the url of the LinkedIn company page. All of that with just 1 single 3-line prompt and zero errors! Thanks for the reco!

FAQ

Website & web app FAQ: stack choice, timelines, hosting, ownership

Everything to know before starting a website or web app project with Uclic: WordPress / Next.js / Astro / full-stack choice, 6-12 week timelines, hosting, code ownership and pricing.

What is a web agency (website creation)?
A web agency designs and develops your online presence: website creation, business application, e-commerce platform or internal tool. The right questions are not only aesthetic: what speed, what ability to convert, how easy it is for your teams to maintain. At Uclic, the tech stack is chosen based on your context, and every site is delivered measurable and documented.
WordPress or Next.js: how to choose?
A team question first and foremost. WordPress if your marketing team publishes 2 to 10 articles/pages per month and must be able to do it without a dev: the Gutenberg editor + ACF + RankMath covers 95% of cases. Next.js if you want an ultra-fast, secure corporate showcase site, with no plugins to maintain, a clean design system and flawless technical SEO. Astro if it is a quasi-static site (showcase, documentation, blog) where embedded JS must be minimal. The right criterion: who edits, how often, and who maintains the code at 18 months?
What are the delivery timelines?
Three ranges depending on scope: SEO-optimized WordPress site (10-25 pages, ACF, RankMath, WP Rocket, managed hosting): 6 to 8 weeks. Custom Next.js or Astro site (15-40 pages, bespoke design, CRM/analytics integrations, Vercel deployment): 8 to 10 weeks. Full-stack web app Next.js + Supabase (auth, database, roles, API integrations, dashboard): 10 to 12 weeks depending on functional complexity. No magic: serious framing in W1 beats an unrealistic schedule that drifts.
Who hosts the site after delivery?
You, in your own name. For WordPress: managed hosting recommended depending on volume: o2switch (SMBs, on quote), WP Engine or Kinsta (mid-market, from €30/month on quote) with automated backups and security hardening. For Next.js / Astro: Vercel (Pro plan $20/user/month) or Netlify, Git deployment on push. For full-stack: Vercel (front + edge functions) + Supabase (Postgres + auth + storage, from $25/month on Pro). All accounts are created in your name, you keep root access and we are simply collaborators.
Who owns the code?
You, entirely. The code is delivered to your GitHub repository (or GitLab if you prefer) from the first commit, full ownership, free-to-use license. No hidden license, no DRM, no lock-in to a proprietary vendor. If you want to leave Uclic and take over with another provider or an internal team, there is no technical or legal barrier: it is a non-negotiable principle for us.
What maintenance should I plan for after delivery?
It depends on the stack. WordPress: core + plugin updates (monthly, 1-2 days/yr), security monitoring, backups: plan on quote. Next.js / Astro: dependency updates (quarterly, 0.5 day/quarter), no plugins to patch, security handled by Vercel: plan on quote. Full-stack Supabase: monitoring of Postgres migrations + Next.js dependencies + Supabase backups: plan on quote. Optional plan: you can also take over in-house.
Site redesign: how do I avoid losing my SEO?
Four safeguards: (1) Prior SEO audit: mapping of all indexed pages via Search Console + Screaming Frog, identification of high-traffic pages and positions on strategic keywords. (2) Documented 301 redirect table: every old URL points to its new one, with no redirect chains. (3) Preservation of <title> tags, meta descriptions and Schema.org tags on high-traffic pages. (4) Post-launch tracking over 90 days: weekly reports on positions, traffic and Search Console errors. Our commitment: no more than -10% traffic at W+4 after redesign.
Which tools do you work with, concretely?
A deliberate stack: WordPress 6.x with ACF Pro, RankMath SEO, WP Rocket for caching, Cloudflare as CDN. Next.js 15 with App Router, RSC (React Server Components), ISR for incremental regeneration. Astro 5 for fast static sites. Supabase for the Postgres database, authentication, storage, real-time and edge functions. Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui for the design system. Playwright for E2E tests. Vercel + Netlify for front hosting. GitHub Actions for CI/CD. No black box, no proprietary vendor.
How much does a website or web application cost?
Three transparent tiers: SEO-optimized WordPress site from €8,000 (on quote) (10-25 pages, bespoke design, CRM/analytics integrations, 12 months managed hosting). Custom Next.js or Astro site from €15,000 (on quote) (15-40 pages, bespoke design system, Vercel deployment, post-launch SEO tracking). Full-stack web app Next.js + Supabase from €30,000 (on quote) depending on complexity (auth, roles, database, API integrations, dashboard, E2E tests). 30% deposit at kickoff, 40% at W5, balance at production release. No surprises.
Do you also handle RGAA accessibility?
Yes, by default on custom Next.js / Astro sites and full-stack apps. Contrast validation (ratio > 4.5:1 for text), full keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Escape), correct ARIA tags (role, aria-label, aria-describedby, aria-live), visible focus management, screen reader support (NVDA, VoiceOver). RGAA accessibility audit before production release. For WordPress, accessibility depends on the theme: we work with themes or bases (Blocksy, Kadence) that follow best practices.
Why Supabase rather than a custom Node backend?
Three reasons: (1) Massive time savings: auth, database, storage, real-time and edge functions are available in hours instead of 6 weeks of backend dev. (2) Lower cost: $25/month on Pro to start, $600/month on Team for scale-ups. Compare that to a senior backend dev at full rate. (3) Pure Postgres, not a black box: your database stays in standard Postgres, exportable at any time to AWS RDS, Neon or a self-hosted Postgres. No lock-in. Leaving Supabase is as simple as entering it. For very specific cases (complex business logic, ML, custom services), we add a Node or Python backend alongside.
