Server-Side Tracking Agency

GA4, server-side and CAPI with no blind spot.

Uclic is a tracking and analytics agency: we repair your advertising measurement end to end, from consent down to the CRM (GA4, server-side tracking, Meta CAPI). Your campaigns learn on complete, compliant data, and your decisions rest on reliable numbers. Observed result: 30 to 60% more reported conversions.

12 Tracking & Analytics sub-services

12 sub-services to move from client-side pixel to a compliant server-side tracking pipeline.

From audit to Looker Studio reporting, each sub-service can be activated on its own or bundled into the full Setup package. Tools explicitly named: GA4, Google Tag Manager web + server, Stape.io, Cloud Run, Meta CAPI, LinkedIn CAPI, TikTok Events API, Mixpanel, PostHog, Amplitude, Segment, RudderStack, Jitsu, BigQuery, Looker Studio.

What we do differently in tracking

Why a Uclic tracking & analytics setup rather than anywhere else?

Tracking in 2026 is no longer a Meta pixel dropped into GTM. Adblockers, iOS 14, the end of third-party cookies and Consent Mode v2 require a layered architecture: normalized dataLayer, sGTM on a first-party subdomain, Conversion APIs with server-side hashing, client+server deduplication. Our standard: Meta EMQ ≥ 8/10, GA4 + BigQuery export, pipeline-oriented dashboards.

Interesting. Personally, I did the opposite in a way. That said, I always keep the code to create APIs that will be used by n8n. So in the end it's a mix of both. I also think it depends on what you want to do in the long term. On the other hand, one thing is certain: if you want total flexibility, knowing how to code is important. (I include vibe coding)

Completely agree ! The era of "just good enough" is over. In a saturated market, it's essential to stand out from day one. An MVP certainly needs to be viable and minimal, but that doesn't mean it has to be a stripped-down version of the final vision. Investing in a quality user experience from the start can significantly accelerate acquisition

incredible, I just gave it a directory with hundreds of software I want to scrape (across about ten pages in total). Fully autonomously, it retrieved everything and ran a google search for each software to find the url of the LinkedIn company page. All of that with just 1 single 3-line prompt and zero errors! Thanks for the reco!

FAQ

B2B tracking & analytics FAQ: server-side, CAPI, GA4, GDPR, dashboards

Everything to know before starting a tracking setup with Uclic: server-side, CAPI, GA4, Consent Mode v2, server-side hashing, Meta EMQ and pipeline-oriented dashboards.

What is server-side tracking?
Server-side tracking routes your measurement data through your own server rather than the visitor's browser. The result: fewer losses caused by ad blockers and browser restrictions, more complete data sent to platforms (Google, Meta), and better campaign learning. It has become the standard for reliable measurement: our clients recover 30 to 60% more conversions compared to standard tracking.
Why server-side and not just client-side?
Three reasons: (1) Ad blockers: 25 to 40% of a B2B audience (CTOs, devs, growth) blocks Meta, LinkedIn, and GA4 scripts in the browser. sGTM, hosted on your subdomain (sgtm.entreprise.com), runs first-party and bypasses blocklists. (2) iOS 14 / ATT has cut 70-80% of Meta's browser-side signal since 2021. Without a server-side Conversion API, your EMQ drops to 4-5/10 and your cost per lead doubles. (3) Third-party cookies deprecated in Chrome in 2024. Ad platforms are shifting their attribution to server-side event_id with SHA-256 email/phone hashing. Measured gain across our B2B clients: +30 to +60% more conversions reported to Meta and LinkedIn after switching to sGTM.
What is Meta's EMQ and why aim for ≥ 8/10?
The EMQ (Event Match Quality) is the score out of 10 that Meta assigns to each conversion event reported via Pixel + CAPI. It measures the match quality between your signal and a Facebook/Instagram account. The higher it is, the faster Meta's algorithm learns and the more effectively it optimizes your campaigns. The score is visible in Events Manager → Diagnostics. Target: ≥ 8/10 at steady state. You reach this score by sending 7 SHA-256-hashed parameters server-side: em (email), ph (phone), fn (first name), ln (last name), ct (city), fbp (Pixel cookie), fbc (Meta click ID), plus the IP and User-Agent. Below 6/10, your Meta cost per lead can double: the algorithm is left guessing.
How do you track conversions without third-party cookies?
Three levers, combined: (1) First-party cookies on your domain (1-2 year lifetime, ITP-friendly persistence via an HTTP-only cookie set server-side from sGTM). (2) Deterministic user_id: a unique ID injected into the dataLayer as soon as an account is created or a form is submitted (email hashed with SHA-256 server-side, never in plain text). Enables cookieless cross-device stitching. (3) Ad platform Conversion APIs: Meta CAPI, LinkedIn CAPI, TikTok Events API, Google Enhanced Conversions for Leads, which accept hashed email/phone in place of the cookie. A lightweight fingerprint fallback (screen resolution + language + geolocated IP) as a last resort for anonymous visitors. GDPR: Consent Mode v2 + documented legal basis.
GA4 vs Mixpanel: which should you choose?
False dilemma: both, for different purposes. GA4 is the marketing & acquisition tool: sessions, sources, campaigns, ROAS, multi-touch attribution via BigQuery export. Free, and essential for managing Google Ads and reporting to leadership. Mixpanel / PostHog / Amplitude are product tools: signup→activation→retention funnels, weekly cohorts, A/B testing, user replays. Different end goals. Our B2B SaaS standard: GA4 + BigQuery export for acquisition + PostHog or Mixpanel for product, connected via Segment or RudderStack to avoid multiplying SDKs on the front end. PostHog is gaining ground because it combines product analytics + feature flags + open-source session replay in a single tool.
GDPR compliance: how do we handle consent management?
Standard 2026 stack: (1) CMP (Consent Management Platform): Didomi (French, GDPR-native), Axeptio (French, GDPR-native), or OneTrust (international). Cookie banner, consent log, auditor export. (2) Consent Mode v2: since March 2024, Google requires 4 signals: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization. Without them, your EEA conversions get filtered out in Google Ads and GA4. Managed from GTM via the Didomi/Axeptio template. (3) Server-side hashing: email/phone hashed with SHA-256 in sGTM before being sent to Meta/LinkedIn. No plaintext PII on the ad platform side. (4) Documented legal basis: B2B legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f) or explicit consent, up-to-date record of processing activities, reachable DPO.
Stape.io vs Cloud Run for hosting sGTM: which one do we go with?
Depends on volume and technical resources. Stape.io (managed offering): 20-on-quote to get started, automatic first-party subdomain, built-in monitoring, French-language support, seamless Google Tag updates. Ideal for SMBs and mid-market companies without a dedicated Ops team. Cloud Run (DIY): 5-on-quote with autoscaling, full control over the infrastructure, native GCP/BigQuery integration, but requires a dev for initial setup and monitoring. Beyond 5M requests/month, Cloud Run becomes more cost-effective. Our standard: Stape.io to start (delivered in 48h), switch to Cloud Run once volume justifies it. In all cases: first-party subdomain (sgtm.entreprise.com), TLS, client+server deduplication via event_id.
How long does a complete tracking setup take?
Standard rollout plan: W1 audit + tracking plan + review of the existing dataLayer. W2 dataLayer implementation on the site, GA4 setup + Consent Mode v2 + BigQuery export. W3 sGTM provisioning (Stape.io or Cloud Run), Meta CAPI, LinkedIn CAPI, TikTok Events API, deduplication, EMQ check ≥ 8/10. W4 product analytics tools (Mixpanel/PostHog/Amplitude), Looker Studio dashboards, documentation, QA testing, team training. Total: 4 weeks for a complete setup on a standard stack. Longer if the site runs on a custom architecture (multi-app, non-standard SPA, native iOS/Android app with Firebase). Documented deliverables at every step.
Which metrics do we track — no vanity metrics?
We track the business pipeline, not sessions. On the acquisition side: impressions, clicks, CPC, conversion rate, CPL (cost per lead), CPMQL, CPSQL, CAC, CAC payback period, multi-touch attribution (first-touch, last-touch, linear, U-shaped). On the product side: D1/D7 activation rate, D1/D7/D30 retention, NPS, CSAT, monthly churn. On the sales side: meetings booked, meeting show-up rate, opportunities created, deals won, pipeline velocity. No sessions/unique users taken out of context (vanity). Looker Studio dashboard connected to GA4 BigQuery + HubSpot/Pipedrive + Mixpanel/PostHog. A 30-min weekly review to iterate.
Which CDPs do you work with?
Three CDPs/event collectors in our catalog: Segment (Twilio, paid from $120/month for 10k MTU, richest connector ecosystem, ideal for Series B+ scale-ups). RudderStack (open-source, self-hosted or cloud, free up to 1M events/month, open-source alternative to Segment, EU-hostable for compliance). Jitsu (100% open-source, hostable on Cloud Run / Hetzner, ideal for startups + data sovereignty). Our default recommendation: RudderStack cloud EU or Jitsu self-hosted, depending on budget and sovereignty requirements. We avoid Segment for clients under 50k MTU (poor cost/value ratio) unless there is a specific need for an exclusive connector.
What happens if we do nothing?
Three measurable consequences. (1) Ad costs drift: without Meta/LinkedIn CAPI, your EMQ stays at 4-5/10 and the algorithm is left guessing. CPL +30% to +80% vs a competitor that has moved server-side. (2) Broken attribution: without deterministic event_id and user_id, what your paid campaigns actually generated gets attributed to (direct) / (none) or last-touch. Meta vs LinkedIn vs Google budget decisions are made blind. (3) Biased product decisions: without a properly connected Mixpanel/PostHog, you ship features without measuring their real impact on activation and retention. At the 90-day mark, the efficiency gap between a team that measures pipeline and a team that looks at GA4 sessions regularly exceeds 30%.
